And this is what happens when you try to use a file on the side and it gets away from you digging a nice groove in the upper surface. Mr. Surfacer 500 to the rescue.

Last car model I built I was maybe 8 yrs old (Adam-12 squad car). My wife and I are huge F1 fans and I have been itching to take a shot at building a car. To my surprise, very few options out there - nothing more modern than 2017 that I can find (guess because of licensing). What is out there is scarce and $$. With the rapid rise in F1 popularity, I am wondering if model companies are pulling out old molds and re-issuing them - hopefully some with new tooling (this Tamiya kit, while typical Tamiya engineering, has an extraordinary amount of flash and witness lines to deal with).
Definitely a nice break from aircraft builds.
