The build
So, the only available picture of this given vehicle.
Mecha Black primer applied. So smooth surface it createsm straight from the bottle!
Doing the preshading with Tamiya white.
From another angle.
First thin layer of the XF89 Dark Green 2 by Tamiya. Since there is no solid evidence of the color of the vehicle, general agreement over the interwebz is that it was "some darker green".
After 3 layers of green, I achieved the look I wanted.
The kit's decals were unusable. So, from an image I found online, I painted the marking freehand. But practice first!
On both sides I enclosed the area for the marking, creating a kind of canvas.
This is the first try with AK weathering pencils.
Backside. Highlighted the top edges with buff.
Chipping, lighter green, then Mecha Chipping color painted on the inside.
Dotfilter...
...applied.
The huge flat surfaces were bothering me on the front and sides, so I decided to give it a bit of interest. Should've done this prior to painting, but meh.
Side & front track racks in place. Material is 0.15 brass sheet.
Because I used RFM's excellent aftermarket tracks, the kit supplied pieces were surplus. So, I felt free to practice painting and weathering them, following Uncle NightShift's videos.
Field created side skirts. Same 0.15 sheet.
5 of them.
Base gray of the exhaust.
The exhaust was again painted in a new way, also from NS' videos.
Sponge and AK pencils were used here.
Tracks....
...and tracks again. Pigments applied dry & wet.
To give them a metallic sheen, I used this very magic tool (pencil).
Doesn't look to bad, right?
Weathering the underside, again with pigments.
So, tracks applied, hooray!
Some shots of the finished model.

As usual, shots of the build, step-by-step, as I could manage.
