Stuka
Doing the dishes ? clear parts have been packed extremely well.
Jumo 211D ready. Added some engine grease for more realistic look.
Painting instructions are not very thorough with this set. A reference book/intensive search through internet is needed.
Not too much leg room
Starting the intrument Panel. Decal is not fitting the panel layout ?
Ready ?
It was fun part
It was fun part
And it fits well. I was afraid about the legs hitting the panel, but not.
Wing mounted MG-17
Soon to be hidden. I’ll leave these plates unglued for possible removal.
Gun ports and barrels were not mentioned in the instructions. But they are provided on spruces A and B. Strange.
Wing surfaces ready
It is surprisingly small for a two seater bomber
Terrible gaps. Even after sanding. I’ll try to patty these.
Nose attached
Glasshouse masked
Quite much filling and sanding needed
Primer on
I dont like this paint finish. Paint is drying too quickly or too thick. Already added some flow improver, But maybe some thinner and retarder needed also
Camo pretty much done. Some touchup requred with a brush.
Machine guns
I didnt glue exhaust pipes. Really tight fit. I needed to file away some material. I painted them with base color rust, added some dark Iron, black and steel. Then smudged a bit with black wash.
Masking of the engine details was succesful!
Added struct for the bomb. Need to check if it is 500 or 1000 kg. I think it is 1000 kg. Its Huge!
Propeller on and now it looks like a Stuka ? with Evli grin
All good from this angle
Not bad. Next glossy finish for the decals
Done adding black smudge. Next maybe petrol/oil stains. Not sure if I do chipping at all.
Bomb is still missing. I try to get it in the position, where it is just releasing. Showing the function of the swing mechanism.
This is going to hang from the roof in a dive position.

I’m happy how the bomb release is looking.

Hi everything is very beautiful but before painting you need to see a photo of a real aircraft well or at least the work of fellow modelers I about the frame of the cockpit most of the frame is inside the cockpit and should have a different color .if offended sorry but such a scale obliges

Thank you for your insights. Not offended, always appreciate polite tips from other modelers. I always get familiar with the history and real planes before and during the projects. With books, internet and other projects. Although I've noticed that there are so much variations with other projects, so it's hard to tell what is authentic and what is "artistical freedom". This kit was particularly difficult. There were lots of issues regarding realistic plane model. Engine cowlings, shape of "boots" etc. Also I wasn't sure about the painting chart. Some of the colors seemed a bit odd. But I couldn't find out all the facts. With the canopy frame, I know that I should consider also the inside of it. I normally paint it. Although this time I didn't had a mask set with interior masks. Considered a while of painting it free hand or using liquid mask. But I decided to not paint it, because if you use masks outside, lines are so neat and sharp, you immediately notice any discrepancy to inside paintings. Or then it is just me and my shaky hand 😅. And when canopy is closed, it's not so easy to see this issue. So it was a compromise decision from a beginner modeler.

Hi you did not understand me at all .I myself very rarely paint the inside of the glazing even when there are masks I meant that it is on the ju-87 that the non-power elements of the glazing outside are not painted at all and are inside the glazing and accordingly have the color of the interior of the cabin .I do not know whether it was possible to explain or not. In my albums there is a ju-87 there will be seen what I am talking about
