Start of the lower hull
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/1/6/0/1406160-28072-74-720.jpg)
Okb only gives you 9 spring struts(?) so I had to scratch build 1

Size comparison to a 1/72 T-62M

Test fit of the gun and breech
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/9/8/3/1423983-28072-76-720.jpg)
The wheels need new bearings(axels?) so I sourced some brass tubing. 2.1mm for the outer and 1.6mm for the inner
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/9/8/2/1423982-28072-56-720.jpg)
Brass tubing 2.1mm outer and 1.6mm inner to fit on the kits torsion arms

Some soldering to make this contraption
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/9/8/1/1423981-28072-49-720.jpg)
I’ve used AMMO A.MIG-083 ZASHCHITNIY ZELENO for the colour
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/3/0/0/1429300-28072-50-720.jpg)
Drivers cab started.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/3/0/3/1429303-28072-75-720.jpg)
More parts added to the breech. Checking to make sure it all fits still
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/6/2/1433362-28072-32-720.jpg)
The kit part is multiple PE pieces that unfortunately broke or wouldn’t work. So I scratch built a new part using plastic
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/1/0/8/1435108-28072-20-720.jpg)
5pc support soldered for the rammer
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/1/0/5/1435105-28072-67-720.jpg)
Part of the crane hoist assembly. The instructions are not clear so lots of guesswork with this
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/1/0/7/1435107-28072-65-720.jpg)
Some more guesswork for the crane hoist
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/1/0/6/1435106-28072-54-720.jpg)
Only need a little bit of scratch building to make it look good. OKB Grigorov didn’t provide a few parts so decent reference photos come in handy
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/6/4/1/1443641-28072-60-720.jpg)
Missing in the kit is a tow cable that’s roughly 47.15mm long and 2 shovels.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/3/9/1443639-28072-57-720.jpg)
I used a shovel from my spares and scratch built one. Plus made a tow cable
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/6/3/8/1443638-28072-18-720.jpg)
Started the plumbing on the rammer and breech. For this I’m using .020” fine solder
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/6/4/0/1443640-28072-50-720.jpg)
Another view of the plumbing. More to add to this subassembly

Improved the kit shackles with plastic rod
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/2/2/8/1463228-28072-39-720.jpg)
Oops I should have double checked my wheel height. That sprocket is way too low
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/2/2/9/1463229-28072-21-720.jpg)
Managed to get a better height on the wheels. The notches the arms are supposed to go into should be angled not horizontal like the manufacturer has
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/0/8/4/1465084-28072-92-720.jpg)
First time using this style of tracks. They’re the Kit resin tracks. I used a hair dryer on low setting to help bend them around the sprocket and idler
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/0/8/5/1465085-28072-67-720.jpg)
Some glue and weight to help set the tracks. Only had to remove 7 links
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/1/7/9/1466179-28072-31-720.jpg)
Ran a hairdryer over the top to give some sags
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/1/8/0/1466180-28072-49-720.jpg)
Ran a hairdryer on low over the top tracks to give some sags
![Album image #30 Album image #30](/albums/img/9/0/8/1475908-28072-52-720.jpg)
I noticed in reference photos at some point the gun barrel had a silver ring (possibly from recoil?) so I painted this ring with tamiya flat aluminum
![Album image #31 Album image #31](/albums/img/9/0/6/1475906-28072-39-720.jpg)
Painted the tracks and gave the left side a wash.
![Album image #32 Album image #32](/albums/img/9/0/7/1475907-28072-58-720.jpg)
Started mounting the fenders and drivers cab. Discovered the cab floor is too big and won’t sit properly
![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/9/1/0/1475910-28072-37-720.jpg)
Test fitting the cab. The cab inner walls need to be thinned
![Album image #34 Album image #34](/albums/img/9/1/1/1475911-28072-47-720.jpg)
Glued the gun and breech to the hull
![Album image #35 Album image #35](/albums/img/9/0/9/1475909-28072-57-720.jpg)
Some detail painting in the drivers cab
![Album image #36 Album image #36](/albums/img/9/1/2/1475912-28072-13-720.jpg)
After modifying the cab I test fit again and success it fits!
![Album image #37 Album image #37](/albums/img/3/1/8/1478318-28072-22-720.jpg)
I made the missing components for the kit crane using plastic rod and bras
![Album image #38 Album image #38](/albums/img/3/1/7/1478317-28072-44-720.jpg)
The travel lock went into another dimension so made a new one from plastic strip
![Album image #39 Album image #39](/albums/img/3/1/9/1478319-28072-24-720.jpg)
Rear fenders and exhaust shrouds fitted
![Album image #40 Album image #40](/albums/img/3/1/6/1478316-28072-98-720.jpg)
Made a missing hand rail on the drivers cab from solder
![Album image #41 Album image #41](/albums/img/2/5/6/1480256-28072-86-720.jpg)
I’m calling this done. It’s been a struggle at times but I’m happy with what I’ve got done

A fellow Canadian! I know the size of a dime, those pieces are truly small. Nice work, Loved all the scratch work, and great use of solder.
