Ilyushin A-50 Mainstay

Here´s an OOB build of the Soviet/Russian AWACS/Fighter Director plane, the Beriev A-50. The Trumpeter kit has some inaccuracies (hear, hear!) but I decided to take things as they came in the box. I used automotive primer, followed by Vallejo and Alcald II paints. Some weathering was applied using artist´s oils. The decals worked fine; everything was sealed and blended in with Widnsor&Newton´s Galleria clear flat cloat. Luckily my one remaining IMEX display box fitted the rather large model, even though only by microns. I´m still thinking about adding some figures or ground support vehicles.
