For some twisted reason, many manufacturers love to cover the Flanker family (except for maybe the Japanese manufacturers) in 1/48th scale - but other equally graceful birds like the Rafale or the Typhoon generate very little interest.
When it comes to the Eurofighter Typhoon, one is really left with two rather distasteful options (like the US Presidential elections) - Revell, or Italeri. Like the US elections, both will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, make you regret choosing between the two, and definitely leave you disappointed with the entire experience.
In this case, I opted for the lesser of two evils - Revell. Many folks in this thread joked how Revell’s level grading system was a warning label as to the fit and finish of the kit - and I have to agree with that thus far in the build. In the accompanying photo albums, I’ll point out the good, the bad and ugly of the kit - and let you decide if it is worthy to grace your stash. No matter how you decide, please don’t let my amateur build speak about the kit - I’ve seen people on this forum turn out absolute stunners with really bad kits! ?
