Toyota Corolla WRC
my first build

I bought the kit around 2009 and built it in November 2021. I really liked the kit and since I had no experience in model building I didnot want to ruin it. In 2021 i still had no experience but i suddenly bought a cheap chinese airbrush and decided it is now the time. I never thought i would be able to achieve such a nice model, so it now became one of my multiple hobbies.

What I liked about the project:
First time a Car kit.
First time to use rattlecans and anything other than paintbrush.
First time to apply proper decals.
First time to apply weathering.
First time to use airbrush.
First time clearcoating and polishing.
Steep learning curve on how to approach a model. At first i just followed the guidesheet, then i started exploring and inspired from the real WRC car.
A 1999 Corolla was the first car I bought myself, so it brings me memories.

What i did not like about the project:
Decals sucked and ruined the job multiple times. Mostly my fault, but i would still blame the decals 🙂
