Yep, like disarming the charge, change course, and spending the day at the beach with the girls.......

Hmm ... pretty much "Hanno". It's a story set post war, this character has got a hold of one of these little Barochino's, and has converted it into a "racing speedboat". As the American servicemen were asked about the dirt track speedway "Isn't that dangerous" to which apparently they replied "Yes Ma-am, but they ain't nobody shooting at us"!! So it is with this - I was toying with the idea of even dropping in a war surplus V8 engine, I can really imagine it with a Big old flathead hanging out the back! ... A project not to be taken too literally; but rather to be amused at by the possibilities.

.............. Also, the story dictates that this has to be built with few tools, few facilities and even fewer materials. Ergo the firing frame has been taken from the bow, and the deck opened up for access, the fancy looking air intake was a lucky acquisition (from a downed aircraft apparently) that he traded for some work he did - he now works at the old family boatyard you see?

So there's a story behind all this. Is it purely your fiction or has it been taken from a graphic novel, book, film
or something like that ? I recall a comic book called "The Sharks of Lagos" in which the main character found and modified a WW2 MTB, and used it for piracy. Hmmm.... sounds like agood project too....😉
I wouldn't push the V8 too far aside though.....
