An F-8E with a paint job I had done for a play by post war-game-rpg-lite based around air mercenaries in the early 21st century.
If I have learned anything from this kit so far, is I hate the gratuitous rivets.

This project is mostly an experiment to see if I can pull off custom large area decals (among a few other thigns.) If successful, I hope to build a more accurate and detailed F-8E in the same scheme.

Hi, thanks, yes, it originally was done as a request for someone's character but then it kind of jumped the tracks and took a life of its own to be what you see in the picture. I'm not too sure how I'm going to pull off part of the decal (the area around the griffin's leg in particular) just yet. I have a couple of ideas but I kind of dread the masking job.
