It is possible to add plastic strips, however that would require cutting out the leaf springs. Quite a bit of effort for that one I'd say, but not something I would shy away. In the end, Takom could have just molded that accurately and it won't need any modification.

I hear you. But we can say that about many kits. My question is do we throw the baby out with the bath water? I mean is the kit good elsewhere - is it worth building?
I bought the early version based on your observations- that the leave spring was equal on all 4. Takom messed up by making every version a command vehicle without adding a star antenna - however - the kit can be built without the extra radios - just need to scratch some stowage bins.

Then they bring out a command version! To make up for the mistake! I bought it but realised it is an early - just with a star antenna!

What I mean by add strip is to cut away either top or bottom part B13 and add length of plastic strip - then fix cut part back on. It looks feasible.

Anyway - this year I keep practicing so I will soon put up 3 kits - one AZ 1/72 kit and 2 armour: Tristar and an old Tamiya from 1970s! I invite you to watch and comment 🫡 👍
