Polikarpov I-16 Type 17 'Red Army'

Hasegawa kit more-or-less straight from the box, just some details added or enhanced, such as cutting wrinkles in the bags over the control stick mount and the tail wheel leg.
I replaced the stiff steel wire in the kit with even thinner flexible steel wire for the retraction cables of the landing gear.
More details added are opening up the 'blinds' in the front of the cowling; drilling holes in the gun muzzles, venturi, oil cooler intake and exhaust; adding a bit of putty as padding along the edge of the cockpit coaming.
Painted with Humbrol enamels, with gloss acrylic varnish over the fabric coated surfaces and flat varnish over the wood and metal surfaces.
