I have one in my stash, but I am very reluctant to commence assembly (quality of the mouldings is...hmm...). Keep my fingers crossed and taking a seat🙂

BTW, if you would need reference photos, I was at the museum like two years ago and took quite a lot of photos in the "Prototypes hall".

Thanks for your interest! The mouldings are indeed abysmal - so this may take some time. Your offer of photos is most welcome but The first task will be to clean up the parts and see if they actually fit together...

You are welcome - this is a fantastic subject, so much different from the next generations' jets. In the kit I own, one of the intake lips is practically non-existent. BTW, the model depicts a different machine than the one displayed at Le Bourget - this one does not have the "main" intake in the lower front - I suppose you have already noticed that🙂

I am sure you can. I have few Mach 2 kits in my stash, and even two under my belt (namely SeaDart and Coleoptere) and these were, let me say, acceptable...I have started work on Bell X-2, however, and... I am waiting for the Kovozavody offering (it simply cannot be worse than Mach 2, and surely will have much better decals and stencils🙂) But with respect to Triton...let's face it...I do not expect any other manufacturer will produce a kit of it.

BTW, it is still not the same machine pictured🙂 The one in the box features the ear-inlets too...I am sorry, if I am annoying you with that... Simply, I have a book by T Buttler and J-L Delezenne "X-Planes of Europe" on my shelf and there is a chapter on Triton(s) in it - that's why I am so pert here... I could make scans for you, if you wish...

I have a copy of the book now, too. Thankfully it has rekindled my interest in trying to make something of this kit.

I will keep my fingers crossed for the effect 🙂 and the book is worth its price - the second volume a bit less but still. (I hope I was not too annoying with my remarks on the photo, if I was - I am very sorry...)

Not annoying at all - at least I am now attuned to the differences among the prototypes!
