Gentlemen, thank you for your interest in my diorama and your appreciation! Holger, I built this one in 1999, so I don´t remember the whereabout of the rotorhead and the temperatures. I was naive and trusted in the brand name of the kit manufacturer MRC (Model Rectifier Corporation). Help me: Where should the rotorhead be placed and how does it look like?

Moin! Gerade auf Bild 19 fällt die Ausrichtung des gesamten Rotors auf. Der müßte eigentlich kerzengerade sein und nicht nach vorn und hinten runterhängen. Daher mein Spaß mit der Hitze.😉

Vielen Dank, Holger. Die Bauanleitung schrieb vor, die Rotoren in "a drooping way" zu montieren. Referenzbilder hatte ich damals nicht, im Netz war ich noch nicht unterwegs, so daß ich des Guten zuviel getan habe. Deine Bilder zeigen ein deutlich geringeres "Durchhängen" der Rotorblätter. Da gehe ich nochmals ran ans Modell! Ein Bauteil habe ich aber nicht verschlampt, oder?

Rick402 - as far as I remember: the decals on the fuel truck were from the kit, some dry transfers from Verlinden.

Sorry to chip in, MS, but this may help you in the future.
When you remove the chrome, there's a residue underneath. That's sometimes, the reason why there's imperfections in the chrome. The residue is some form of clear coat, that's used before the chrome? That can be removed by soaking in brake fluid, for a while. I've had this issue, mainly with Revell chrome, and it doesn't look great. Sometimes, there's a huge blob, and they just chrome over it. Quality control, needs a kick up the butt, at the factory.

@Matteo Pescarin - There are printers that can use white custom toner. However, it is not as opaque as the commercial decals, so it honestly falls below my expectations.
What I use is ghost white toner.
At first, I planned to buy an Alps printer, but I had no choice but to give up because it only supported Windows XP.

Yes, indeed this is planned. Some day ... I hope. The plan is to show various scenes in a little town in Normandy from 1938 (pre war) to the end of the war. The same scenery and the same buildings, but various vehicles and uniforms.
I will send a building report of the butcher shop to Modellversium in the next days.

Thanks for following guys. Lochsa, you're right about the canopy. There are fit issues in general with this kit - most of which aren't too difficult to deal with - but the canopy is a bit of a mess. I'm not really looking forward to that part of the build.

Logan, Good evening. Sweet looking forward to seeing you if you make it up, if not I'll catch you at Modelpalozza. I am doing ok, I did something to my lower back/left hip and having seen two ER doctors, my family doctor, and my Chiropractor; the only person who has identified what I have done is the Chiropractor who indicated my hips were out of alignment which is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve that runs down my left leg. All the family doctor said was if 4-6 of physio and Chiro don't fix the issue he'll order a CT scan to see what I did. lol, That would put it at 2 months since I got hurt.

Because of the pain and falling down stairs, lol I haven't been able to sit at the model bench so nothing done in the past month. 🙁

There is the potential that Veronica "the deer killer" will be there with me along with my parents. She will be coming with me out to Sask for the weekend of fun.

Good morning. Thank you. I agree one of my happy places is sitting at the model bench with some tunes cranked. 🙂 I have a bench upstairs so I can throw a movie or watch sports while building, I sat at it for maybe two minutes to see how the body handles the pressure, so far not good enough to starting building. My main bench is in the basement and I haven't been near it in close to three weeks. 🙁 The handle railing going into the basement doesn't go all the way down so I have nothing to hold on to if my left leg gives out again. 🙁

Where you successful in getting the T-34 book that you were after a couple of months ago.
