I will be heading out to various museums in Germany to begin designing accurate riveting guides. There are plenty of aircraft I am interested in but I wanted to ask if anyone has a request for specific blueprints? My only criteria is that there must be a plane in Germany that I can take measurements from. Let me know if there is anything you want.

No requests, but you might find some planes here The Hermeskeil Files | Project by Mahoo76 (1:1)

Oh yes. Thank you Martin. The Junior family collection in Hermeskeil would be a great destination.

Do-24 in Oberschleißheim close to Munich (department of the Deutsche Museum).

Gee, Michael, that's one Big ask! Do-24 would be great to draw but it will take me some time. That's one complicated machine. What scale would you need?

If I were to do the Do-24 I think I would probably start by going to the Technik Museum Speyer. The fuselage they have is easier to access. It being in such rough condition actually makes it easier to get accurate measurements. But afterwards I would have to contact the Deutsche Museum to get access to their plane in order to complete the drawings.

Hi Shyhiker. I am not asking. I am just wishing and dreaming. 🙂
1:72 would be wonderful for me. I've completed the interior of my spanish Do-24 and riveting (negative and positive) will be the second next task after building the spanish cupolas.

Do 24 would definitely be easier to do than a Do X. I will be heading to Southern Germany in a two weeks and I will try to stop by Oberschleißheim to assess the idea and see if it is possible to get special access to the plane.

If it possible i would be interested in pictures from inside of the Do24 (cockpit area and the storage room with the 2 large panels).

If I can gain access to the inside I will of course make photos. It will completely depend on the museum. Negotiating such things can take time so I hope you're not in a rush. The drawing process itself usually takes at least 100 hours to do depending on the aircraft. This is seriously not just rivet counting but also measuring.

Excellent, although the photos look a little over exposed - it may be the white background has confused the camera sensor.
