Made a start on this kit with the cockpit which is quite basic to say the least, part of the reason I put the pilot and navigator in. 🙂
Welcome Nicolas, pull up a seat. 👍
Many thanks mates for your interest and likes Freak, Andrew B, Istvan S, Villiers DV, J35J, Andre K, Juskifo, Tommy A, NordMito & 1 other mate. 👍

Added cockpit to the upper fuselage. Lower parts of the tail added to the lower fuselage. Wings and folding mechanism added to lower fuselage. Weight added to the lower part of the nose. I wasn't certain how much to add as there is no indication in the instructions. 🙂

Bravo 👍

Done lots of filling and sanding to get the wing and the fuselage of the first Kfir to fit. Started rescribing and getting the second on to the same state.

I also got this kit (the Italeri one) when I was child, in the middle of the '90's. So it's an awful kit, but that time wasn't better. So, I'm curious for the result.

Nice start, I remember building this kit as a two tone grey Israeli bird a long time ago. Which scheme are you going with?

The Revell one has only decals for the camo scheme, so the Italeri one will be the grey one. Maybe I get my hands on the AMK kit before I get to the decals, then the Italeri will maybe get the Atac livery.
But first there will be some more sanding and filling the sink marks that are now visible. I also made some scribing mistakes, so this needs some putty as well.

Decided to go with the Atac camo with the Italeri Kfir. The Revell one already has the Isralei camo and decals on the undeside. Also I broke off the petot tube again. This time it stays off until the last moment.

Small update from the last couple of weeks: decals from the AMK kit for the Kfir 401 from Atac were applied, along with some from the Italerim kit itself. Also the landing gear was attached to both aircraft. Ready for final smaller paintjobs, weathering and some antennae and the landing gear bay doors.

When I first clapped eyes on this, I thought it was a Gun you'd see Arnie wielding, one in both hands blasting his way down some street or other... I was surprized when I realized it was a ship, doubly surprized it's 40cm long, in the first image it looks/appears 6 feet long... But enough of this frivolity!!!
That's a real nice build Heikki and welcome back. We've missed you...

Very impressive and nicely done. Too bad the kit includes a rather big plexi foor for the little starships, maybe an idea for the manufacturor?

Those little Thunderbolt Starfuries aren't part of the WARP's kit. I've added them myself. They're actually from the A Call to Arms -game.

nutcrackerdb sells them in the UK eBay:
ebay.co.uk/usr/nutcrackerdb
It was around 100? with postage when I bought it.
B5 is definetily the best scifi series. It's really worth checking out. It's age might show and the 1 season is mostly to present the players. Action really starts in the end of season 1. Season 2 is much better and 3rd season is great. 4th is epic! And 5th S gives us a nice satisfying ending.

Babylon 5 is easily the best Sci-Fi series ever, nothing comes close. Didn´t know that such a nice kit of the Omega Destroyer exists, guess I have to save some money now. Looks really impressive with the lights on in the dark 👍.

Aaah Babylon 5!
Cool!
Last week I`ve seen the last part of the 4th season! 🙂
Com. Sheridan would be proud if your Destroyer Lankinen fought in Alliance again the forces of President Clark! 🙂 🙂
Very nice model! I`ve never seen before, neither as a web info, nor as built model on exhibitions like our biennial Spacedays Convention here in Germany.
Thx for sharing

Hi Dirk! EAS Lankinen had to wait for few more years to make Sheridan proud. During the civil war it's on a mission in the very deep space far far away... But in the Drakh war she was at the home front when they attacked and continued fighting throughout the war.😉
I've added a new picture. I hope it gives you the sense of scale. I also added the text from the base to the description.

...Although I can also add the text here:
Omega class destroyer is one of the many iconic space ships from the tv-series Babylon 5. This Warp models' polyurethane resin model is in scale 1:4000. In the show Rocketdyne started Omega destroyers' development during the Earth-Minbari war. None were completed before the Battle of Line. Shortly after the war mass production started to replace the losses during the war and let older Nova class dreadnoughts and Hyperion heavy cruisers to retire.
Nova's design was developed further in the Omega. Rotating sector allows the crew to operate in gravity which improved efficiency. Destroyer's lenght is 1714,3 meters and it has four particle thrust engines powered by 4 fusion reactors. Omega class ships are hyperspace jump cabable and they can navigate far into the uncharted space for the duration of 18 months.Omega's two main guns are 52mm Plasma Pulse Cannons at the fore and 4 Heavy Particle-Lasers at the aft. As a secondary guns there are 12 turrets along the ships hull. Adding to the ship's enormous firepower and protection it carries 36 Starfury or Thunderbolt fighters and maximum of 18 000 troops. Complement is 250 officers and 1000+ crew.
Earthforce's backbone are the ubiquitous Omega destroyers. The most significant engagements where they have taken a part are the Earth civil war 2260-2261 and the Drakh war 2266-2271.

Hi Mathias, it's Heikki btw. 😉
You can find those sometimes in the eBay also, but I found Agents of Gaming and sent email to them. They seemed to ceased business but he sold me those anyway. 🙂
agentsofgaming.com/oshop.htm
Those fighters aren't in the same scale with the Omega. But from the right perspective you can imagine that they're several kilometers closer to you than the ship... =D I was planning on putting one on the "hangar mouth" flying out from there, but I never really finished all my plans regarding the little fighters. Do you know of the BamBam models' olympus corvette. Although also not in the exactely same scale, it might look nice besides Omega... 😉
Let me know when you get the Omega and start building it.
