The canopy is the weakest point of the Revell 262. That, and the boxed in landing gear bay.
Mind you, some boxes hold better canopies than others, it is kind of a lottery.

Well, I visited Dübendorf only once, more than a decade ago. Not that the Switzerland changes very quickly, but it was a while ago 😉
Not the biggest one I've been to (don't expect the size of Duxford), but very interesting. As it's in CH, there are many unique airplanes on display, so highly recommended.
The C36 was unfortunately parked the way you couldn't see the interior v.well, so there's a lot of guesswork involved in this build. Kora's kit has the same interior setup for all C36 versions which is not true for sure.

I agree with you, Łukasz 👍
Despite this, it is advisable to use a mask or you can even sand inside a bag if you do not do it outdoors. Resin dust is toxic and can be carcinogenic.

Consider wet sanding. It ameliorates the dust problem considerably. Not using a dust mask when dry sanding resin isn't the most brilliant idea - being it in- or outside.

After priming I found out a lot of bubbles in the resin, in particular on the fuselage - trying to locate and fill'em all.

I'm glad to see this project being resumed, Łukasz.
If you can't get rid of any bubbles, you can say they are bullet holes or pellet holes 😛

On to the legs of the Jerry Heavy Super Armored Fighting Suit. Now, the newer WAVE release has the shorter foot with cleaner details, but the old NITTO release has the longer but softer detailed foot, as it's a chicken walker essentially, I'm after stability, so I'm going to sacrifice detail for a solid stance.

Chicken walker Ma.k, I dig it. I really like this design. Mines a super heavy Gigant Floh, armed with anti-air rockets, anti personnel machine gun, and a recoilless rifle. Bad ass.

Added the recoilless rifle as a dry fit mock up of the chin. Looks really nice all glued up, looks really angry with the solid hood, but you can see more of the pilot though with the blown glass hood... Hmm 🤔

That's where I am today, still very much a WIP. I'm working my way around it, adding extra armor, smoke launchers, it's going to be very busy, but it should look pretty awesome.

That's it for today, getting there. Just a dry fit of parts added drooping wiring to the under engine area, I'll change the mounts of the rockets, to make them more dynamic, cockpit enclosed forever, adding small nuts and bolts, pretty happy with it so far.

After adding a cast texture to the whole main body, the start of the winter white wash camo on the Gigant Floh. Rust washes next, then grey wash, then white. Still have a fair few details and wiring still to add. Sort out the rocket launchers fit, aerials, armour plates nuts and bolts.

Added the Fug XII Radio mast and painted it up, and finished of the front smoke candle launchers. Added bits of wire to the launchers. Drilled out the radio mast, added thin wire and a small length of spring wire for a detailed holder. Not bad.

That's all for today, put first coat of paint on the rocket launchers, I've spruced mine up by adding extra sensors, and I've changed the mounting system, by drilling and pinning with brass rod, moves them out a bit more, for a more natural look. Jobs a good un.

so today ive made the MG82 machine gun, painted it up and i've gotten to the markings and weathering stage, only basic ID and colours added so far. All weapons are now fitted, two triplex rocket launchers, one recoilless rifle, four smoke launcher candles and one underslung MG82 machine gun. Going with classic Orange.

First pictures of the first steps in the construction of a B-17G, whose mission role particularly appealed to me: I had long been fascinated by the sea rescue missions of this B-17 equipped with a droppable lifeboat! So I was delighted when I found one of the rare kits on the subject here on scalemates.
A few months ago I had already built an Academy 'Flying Fortress' in an early B version, the kit qualities of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The accuracy of fit is not far from 'perfect' and the details that are often missing in these Academy kits have to be added wherever it is important. In this case that means A set of etched parts for the cockpit and nose area, as well as an exterior set, especially for the engines and undercarriage, and resin tyres, also from Eduard. Not to forget: the seat cushions from Kits World were used in the cockpit

That makes me happy, Łukasz and Finn!
The SB-17G is slowly taking shape. The V-position of the wings needs to be changed: in my opinion, Academy has set a much too steep angle here! The corrected position of the wings also results in the distances at the wing-fuselage bonding points.... the fit here would be excellent!

In preparation for the surface colours, I have now done the following: I have masked those stripes over the black primer that are to remain visible as black lines separating the NMF surfaces from the large yellow zones using suitably wide Tamiya masking tape. I also masked the areas on the leading edges that carry the rubber 'de-icers'.
Next, the anti-glare areas in front of the cockpit and on the inside of the engine nacelles are sprayed, then.... then come the Alclad metal colours!

There was not much to see of the SB-17 for a short time - the application of the yellow required extensive masking!

At last I can replace the unattractive sanitary towel pictures of the SB-17 with ones that show their true appearance! 🙂
The new pictures are already close: the high gloss level comes from the sealing of the decals.... now it will be adjusted with different clear coats.
