Test fitting the masts, which are pretty awful - lots of mould lines, flimsy and difficult to clean up. One of them broke, and then I realised I hadn't paid enough attention and had to pull them apart to put the crow's nest platforms on. They need a bit of fiddling still, but they'll be OK. I have learned quite a bit so far. I realised since this kit cost me £3 I can try different ideas out...

OK, so while the masts are awful, I am not the best myself and I don't always pay full attention, so I did them wrong. Had to pull them apart and re-do them, so they are even worse than they might have been, but we're getting there. This is before I realised I had made them incorrectly...

Just got to work these things out now!
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/7/7/9/1552779-124766-73-720.jpg)
The rigging is so fiddly, this one snapped in half, so I had to glue it back together..
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/7/8/0/1552780-124766-98-720.jpg)
I'm not sure if it's my fault or if the rigging is just too short, but the bottom sections aren't long enough to fit, so I need a solution for that now. Also they are so delicate that the ends that sit in the hull just snap off
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/7/8/2/1552782-124766-63-720.jpg)
I used fishing wire and superglue to pull them in a bit. It looks shocking but I don't mind...

![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/7/8/3/1552783-124766-75-720.jpg)
Starting to fit the sails, again using superglue, it's the only thing that seems to work with them

![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/7/8/5/1552785-124766-36-720.jpg)
Finished, at least as far as I am concerned; there is an extra step with about 4 miles of tan rigging, but I'm not going to attempt that...

Picked this up a few months ago in a charity shop for £3. A few bits missing, including the figurehead, but otherwise it's OK. Thought I'd give it a go, so will post photos here as I get on with it...
