[WIP] 1st day. Unboxing and Legs
Box is expectedly HUGE and won't fit on my tiny workspace.
Tons of sprues inside.
3(!!!) instruction manuals.
Colored one is about the lore and specification of the Strike Rouge.
Unfortunately my Japanese is very rudimentary so not so useful for me. At least the pictures are nice.
Grayscaled ones are actually instruction for building the kit. One for Strike Rouge Gundam itself and other for the backpack and the support fighter jet.
Typical Bandai instruction manual. (Which means it's good.)
They indicate what parts are used in each section, which was nice.

Well I had to use both of my sprue stands to just organize the sprues.
... Yet a few had to stay in the box. (Which I suspect are for the backpack and the fighter jet.)
Amount of removed plastic bags alone is astonishing.
I have to swing left to pick up the sprues and swing back right to work on the kit I guess.
These parts are just for the feet. Talk about overkill.
Ankle joint alone is quite complicated. I love the chromed piston part. (Which have slight pink tone, which is a nice touch.)
Those are some nice inner detail.
"Paw pads" are also color separated.
I gave it parts a bit of panel lining with my trusty Copic marker.
Guess I'll paint the kit later (someday) but having panel lines done looks miles better even with a snap build.
Upper part of the legs. (Thigh-Knee) Notice the black parts, which is a painted metal part.
Kneedcaps have the usual articulation ala MG kits but are much more detailed and intricate.
Parts for the calves.
Love the details. Ankle joint can also swing sideways thanks to "muscles" on both sides of the calf.
Combining all the parts and putting the outer shell.
Have some great freedom of movement on all the joints. Looking good.

My first Perfect Grade kit.
To be honest, I was not impressed when I saw finished kits displayed at my local Gundam Base. They looked just like bigger MG kits.
But actually building and handling the thing is a whole another matter. Many intricate detail and mechanics are hidden behind outer armor. Can't believe this kit is 20 years old!
Took almost a day just doing the legs. (Ofc I didn't spend the whole time building. For pure build time it'd be something like 6h.)
