aftermarket is just a GBU-12 from the AMK ordnance set and a pair of GBU-38s from Flying Leathernecks. oh and instrument panel decals from Furball Aero.
Decals were from the kit. I opted to paint the striping on the tails, only using the decals for the parts with lettering, the Kestrels logo, and the formation light. I usually paint the formation lights on all my hornet builds, but i didn't want to risk damage to the decals by masking off the area for the light.
i also opted to paint the white pin stripes on the spine and tails in place of the decals. this project was mostly just a way to challenge myself to paint color applications like these instead of relying on decals.
the Hasegawa Super hornet is nearly 20 years old now but I think it still stands up pretty well vs more recent offerings from Meng and Hobbyboss.
