Egg Mitsubishi F-2 Viper Zero and Kawasaki T-4

Hopefully a quick bit of fun after a ten week stressful slog on that Routemaster bus. 

Starting well 

Fun fact - traditionally, Japan just sees blue and green as two shades of the same colour. They call green traffic lights "blue", and here we have a blue starboard light. Before we feel too smug, what's our "word" for the Italian azzurra again? (Ignoring the obscure azure, we usually say "sky blue").

Also, note that even on egg scale they include the formation slime lights (between engine exhaust and undercarriage bay). 

I'm having a 'mare with the decals... tearing, not sitting right... remedial action is required, including trying to colour match the decal colours by frantically and amateurly mixing paints on my wet palette. I would say "see if you can spot all the fixes" on the remaining pictures, but don't look too closely, I didn't do that good a job! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the shelf with all the other eggs and kawaii/twee caricature planes ?
From left to right: F-4 Phantom (with Spook mascot), MV-22 Osprey (my daughter Martha's), F-14 Tomcat (M's), P-40 Warhawk (M's), F4U Corsair with barely noticeable gull wings at the front (M's), two F-2 Viper Zeros in dark blue at the back, recent white F-2 and grey T-4 at the front, then Martha's Flying Fortress and Lanc.
So there are more of Martha's than mine, and all of mine are Japanese - even my Phantom is in JASDF livery.
Bit of a dust-trap that shelf, I'll have to get my little hoover out.
