Hi Gordon, a good exercise for the muscles of the wrist! 🙂 Have you postponed the model?

This was/is my first short-run kit. I have never had to putty and sand so much. Most of that is my fault, I started this kit 20! years ago but the fit was not great and i did a horrible job of it. So i put it on the Shelf Of Doom. Hopefully in the intervineing years, my skills have improved and I can finally do a descent job of it.

Managed to avoid getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from all the sanding! Have a fairly nice smooth looking model, now I just have to rescribe the panel lines I obliterated with all the sanding.....

Great job so far Gordon😉 ...me too in these days I'm finishing this model... but I've chosen the italeri kit... an easier choice😉😄

Thanks for the comments Clifford, Bart, and Cristian.
I used the decals and wheels from the Italeri Mk.VII kit, the underwing radiators off a Airfix PR.XIX, cannons are from a Freightdog Mk.IXe conversion, the rear fixed portion of the canopy is from an Airfix Mk.1a, and I cast a copy of the Airfix Mk.22 tailwheel and the attenna from an Airfix Mk.IX.

very well done! I would no longer touch a kit requiring so much effort. But you turned out a beauty!
