I thought it was real, in fact it took me some time to convince myself it is actually a model !
just awesome work !!
More photos !! 😄
First thought about, oh a scene from The Purple Plain with Gregory Peck🙂
Very nice and lifelike sceneries and outstanding modelmaking in all aspects.
It looks so real I had to look twice! Awesome dio, gold medal!
Who said that You can`t make a beauty of a 40 years old kit? 🙂
Great work and excellent presentation!
I love every bit of it! 👍
Excellent diorama. superb adaptation of the interior. You made of this old kit, a beautiful model.
me too.. at first glance, i thougth it to be a actual war footage; i think mostly because the officer in the front seems to be "caught" in an actual walking motion!
Wow, thank's everybody! I really appreciate your comments. There's no stopping now!
Two Dioramas are already in the "Pipeline". I'll use your input See'ya...
Awesome result! 😮
Congrats to this wonderful scene and thanks a lot for all the information you gave, Kent!👍
There are not enough superlatives for this one, incredible. The photography is so professional and adds so much to the realism.
I left this open in my browser and when I came back to it, it took a moment for me to realize that it's not the real thing! great job!
Beautiful work mate, first class job, things like this make mere mortals like me think a few times about if I should be brave enough to show my own work 😉
What they all said... crazy levels of realism! The lighting on that first photo, with the shadows, is perfect.
Fantastic! This is what we all have as a vision when we start a Project... but you have actually done it!
Thanks a lot! Yes it certainly is a challenge to 'keep your eye on the ball' for 1-2 years...

Model Kit: 1/32 Revell Bristol Beaufighter with a lot of scratchbuilding.
My good old Revell 1/32 (1975?) was taken apart and had a complete overhaul, inside and out. The project took around a year or so, reworking all of the model until i was happy with it: Complete interior rebuild, wheelbays, gunbays & removeable panels. Sanding and rescribing of panel lines & rivetting.
Diorama: British built Bristol Beaufighter undergoing maintenance at Port Moresby, Ward's Airfield,
during the Kokoda Trail Campaign, Papua New Guinea, November-December 1942.
From early 1941 the roles of the Beaufighter diversified as it was adapted to carry out anti-shipping strikes and ground-attack missions, and in these capacities gained its fearsome reputation. In the Asia-Pacific theatre the Beaufighter was nicknamed "Whispering Death" because of its quiet engines and heavy firepower. The origin of this nickname is generally attributed to Japanese troops,
