Re-purposing a part started E-3 Kit, some minor updating to make E-3/B707 parts into E-8 like modifying engine turbo compressor hoods to suit.

Some progress, started to add the etch and white metal antennas. Decided to scratch build the forward cabin intake and the supplied one was too big.

Very good to see the progress you're making Ray! Keep it up, almost ready for paint.

Thanks guys, not finished yet, I have a base coat of paint on it, I just need to paint the engines and gear and it will be ready for decals.

On the rather large shelf of doom at the moment. 3 P-3s and and P-8 are taking up my time at the moment.

Thanks Mona, yes the break did help. When I took it down I had wondered why I stopped so close to the finish. After working on it again I did have issues with the wing tip antennas and decals, so the break was welcomed.

Brother Ray! Another masterpiece! Well done, sir. Where do you find the room to display all these large 1:72 aircraft?

Great transformation. Rarely seen as a model but also lovely as result itself.
