Despite all the PE & resin, she builds quickly, painting takes the time.

TKS Spanjaard! The u/c is on along with the engine and replacement resin exhaust/rudder/elevators. The huge "glasshouse" canopy has also been masked! Just the slats to sort out & then the wings can go on.

So here she is! The CMK upgrade kit was well worth it. All told this is a great kit, the only issue was trying to align the wings & wing struts, a real pain in the arse!

Thanks guys, I;m quite pleased with the result. Yeah, lots of folks have this in their stash but few get built. Thats a shame as it's a good kit and a great subject.

Album info
The Westland Lysander was a British army co-operation and liaison aircraft produced by Westland Aircraft used immediately before and during the Second World War. After becoming obsolete in the army co-operation role, the aircraft's exceptional short-field performance enabled clandestine missions using small, unprepared airstrips behind enemy lines to place or recover agents, particularly in occupied France with the help of the French Resistance. British Army air co-operation aircraft were named after mythical or historical military leaders; in this case the Spartan General Lysander was chosen.
