Battle Of Midway 75 years
The Catalina flown by Jack Ried. The first plane that spotted the Japanese Navy at Midway.
The Buffalo flown by Philip R. White. One of the few Buffaloes defending Midway islands that wasn't shot down.
The 'Val' who's radio operator, Takehiko Chihaya, was the leader of the dive bombers attacking Midway. The plane was flown by Yoshida Kiyoto.
The Avenger flown by Albert K. Earnest. One of six brand new Avengers flown from Midway to attack the Japanese. It was the only one to return from the mission.
The Marauder flown by James Muri. One of four Marauders that was sent from Midway to attack the Japanese Navy. Muri returned but two of the Marauders didn't.
