Built this far yesterday evening. Very easy and no pitfalls. The intakes are just plugged in and will be removed for painting the interior white...

I just bought this kit, so I'm taking a seat, spying and taking notes for a future build.😉

I have complete the intakes and mounted them to the fuselage. Now I am working my way through the cockpit assembly with Eduard Zoom set...

I still need to complete the read instrument panel, but everything else was done, so I finally closed the forward fuselage. Looks o.k. in my book and as the canopy will be closed it is more than sufficient.

So with the pit almost done I could mate front and rear of the fuselage. The wings are not glued yet, as is the black cockpit frame. I also attached some more parts to close everything up. Fit is outstanding!!

Still fighting the canopy. I can perfectly live with a mold seam on the outer surfaces of a clear part, which is easy to remove but on the inside it is just a PITA. Sadly I used AK Gauzy Agent Glass Coat to dip the canopy but it does not work like I want. It is next to impossible to avoid air bubbles remaining on the canopy and drying in. Should have worked with Klear in the first place...

Is it really a seam line or is it that det cord running on the inside of the canopy?

It was a thin line running all the way and not as broad as in your pic but like a seam line. I only noticed it when I had polished out the outer one out. Maybe it was meant to represent the cord, but it just looked wrong. Also it was not a huge problem to remove it, just tedious. Still scratching my head how to remove the AK stuff (which worked o.k. on a small canopy)

Maybe by immersing it in an ultrasonic cleaner? Or oven cleaner? But first test it on a piece of sprue to be sure you don't damage the canopy.

I was "brave"... I used Revells new paint remover which worked well on my Gaspatch Hs 123B-1 ... I tested it on the canopy frame and it worked o.k. Of course I got a little fogging but it did not destroy the plastic (hopefully) after another polishing round I dipped it now in Klear... looked o.k. on fist inspection and is now set aside to cure...

So, it did fog up then???

Yes slightly, but not a big problem. I was careful though. I only used minimum Paint Remover and the clear part got a thorough rinse after the AK stuff was removed.
