Hello Michael, a really nice 109 E 👍, which I do not quite like, but is not your thing, the Decals for the Capricorn are a bit too yellow, in the original, but they were more brown / gray a little more nature-inspired, on I also know one version of this Capricorn in white, but okay, it's the decals, but as always your work is the finest 👍

Thanks Lode & Jens for the pleasant comments, and Jens I never really noticed, the only thing I saw was the out of register brown 1. Thanks for letting me know, I should start calling you Sir Luftwaffe. As you have a great deal of knowledge on the subject, Respect.👍🙂

Michael, not sir Luftwaffe, much of what is available to me to Infos, satmmt from 40 years of model making, I myself have known until about 1999 no color chart, it was mixed until it corresponds to the picture, so always wrong ...
With the Internet, I've started to look for details, and there is for each kit somewhere to find criticism, a perfect basis for the construction you do not even get from Tamiya, always a good is very good, but never perfect

Either way, you do know a lot on the subject.

Modellbau, I do not find any mistakes myself, the pros report that, but models that you once built, you do not forget, and thus the mistakes stay in the head 😉

Jens it's the mistakes we make that help us improve with each kit.
Thanks Spanjaard. I've got another 1 or 2 that I've got to finish off as well.

let's say, the mistakes that have the basis, we should discover as eggs at Easter, correct, but is beautiful, the egg at Easter we are looking alone, the models are built by many and examined, unfortunately not always correct, but in the end we make from 1000 suggestions our unique, a model like your Bf 109 E, on which you can be very stoltz, nice little extras and a successful paint make it to beauty 👍

Nice 109 Michael!

Is that a flycrap on the starboard guncover? How long did she wait for her finish? 😄

I Like it! Looks good. I have found it best to do what you like and not mind the rivet counters, because of all the different opinions that are out there. Be it colors, options and time of vehicle, ect, most of the time these are rough estimates, sometimes there's facts, but just do the best you can.

Thanks Rene & Timothy, it sat for around 20 years and that is so true Timothy.

20! years... wow. And only one speck... My Tomcat hung from the ceiling for about 2 and looked like every fly in the city had a dump on it. 😄

Especially right with colours Timothy. Especially for (german) wartime machinery... I guess the industry was more concerned with getting any paint produced whether it was a nuance too dark or too greenish was secondary. Only my guess 🙂

Believe it or not, doing Hollywood movie cars is just as bad! They change years, options, and colors! Sometimes they use up to 300 different cars!

Album info

Oblt. Walter Schneider, Staffelkaptin of 6./JG26 sitting in his Bf 109E 'Brown 1', was taken at Marquise, probably on 6 September after he claimed the destruction of two 72Sqn Spitfires. Schneider led the 6./JG26 up until his death on 22 December 1941 when, becoming disorientated in fog, he and four of his pilots flew into a hill.
