I build this model as a retirement gift for one of my NCOs. He crewed this vehicle in Vietnam. The old Italeri kit used many of the same parts as their M109 kit. There were some subtle differences between the two vehicles, so I did have to rework the turret roof, and make the doors at the rear of both the hull and turret double doors. I also added various missing details.
