nice, but if you give it a coat of clear bright varnish, and then apply decals, they may stick better and have much less silvering. You can do a layer of flat/satin afterwards. i would have also consider doing a mask to paint those big "D 8" instead of using the decals. it avoids the silvering completely.

Spanjaard, thanks for the advice but this kit was completed about 20 years ago. I didn't know much about modelling and didn't have more materials. Then I didn't want to repaint or revarnish the plane.

absolutely, i would not touch it anymore either! it is a thousand times better than what i did 20 years ago to be honest. i still have nightmares about a Tomcat, with so much paint that it is hard to know if the details were recessed of raised 😄 😄
