Michael HickeyPlenty of seating Nathan, BYO beer & nuts, I've still got a long road ahead, but had a small win today getting the PE interior set completed. Now time to paint the cab inside and prep it for the camo on the outside.

Michael HickeyTim, come in and join the fun. Over the weekend disaster struck🙁, when I was test fitting the windshield it just happened to snap in my big clumsy fingers. So after trying to get a replacement with no success I ordered a whole new kit from eBay. As I don't want to waist the kit I now plan on building a second SLT-56 and do her as a wreck and have her displayed on the trailer. So the Unimog and forklift get saved for another day, and now I continue on with the rest of the chassis and trailer.

Ingo FNice! I am in. 🙂 Maybe you can cover the cab of the second FAUN with tarps to hide the missing windshield. Something like this: [img1]

Michael HickeyThanks Ingo, I like the way you think. I'll do that, as an added bonus I won't have to put the interior into the second one either. Glad I didn't order that other Eduard Interior set.😢

Michael HickeyFinally got all the cables and plumbing finished on the Faun, I'll take some pics of the truck and trailer soon.

Michael HickeyNew pics finally up, tomorrow the paint shop, oh the joy, it could be worse I could be using a hairy stick to put some color on her.;) Hopefully I'll get her all painted and weathered by the time the second SLT-56 turns up in the post. 🤔

Michael HickeyYour more than welcome Gents, and as for the tyres I'll put them all on a piece of dowel and spray them all in one go. First up is painting the exhaust which isn't glued in place, I want to try out some rust techniques.

Michael HickeyTake a seat Chris and bring your beer and nibbles. Holly it feels like I've been working on this fore ever, but after dinner I will paint the truck, then mask the trailer for the rough texture I'll lay down on top of the deck along where the wheels and tracks would run. As an added bonus I've finished painting the exhaust pics of that soon. Now I'm really starting to have some fun.😄😄😄

TreehuggerI think he should consider re-uploading some of the images (you can always re-shuffle the order of images in your album afaik), that fixed my issues with my albums.
Here, a lot of photos doesn't even show up in the preview, and then, there are photos that show up in the preview, but doesn't display in "full" size.

Mick, the booster diaphragms on the rear axles in the Faun were dark blue not black. I expect realism you know!

After having this in the stash for more years than one cares to remember, it's time to get her on the bench. If the Feldumschlaggerät doesn't fit on the back of the trailer with the Unimog, I'll just leave her off.
