Hey everybody, didnt realize questions where hanging out unanswered. I used a wood grain photo etch stencil for the props. Sprayed a darker brown and then held the stencil over and sprayed a light gray. Finally shot some clear varnish over it. I was a little too rough and ended up destroying the stencil and I think I could have used more contrasting colors. Ive learned a ton since I finished this model almost a year ago, would be better today. Also, dont chose Kitty Hawk to get back into modeling after a 20 year break.
