Watching! How is the kit? The Amodel kits I have seen built are best described as "challenging!"

Yes, I should agree ... Lots of filling, sanding and etc. ... but I really enjoy this 🙂

Watching! Looks like a lot of filling from the picture. Raised or recessed panel lines for this kit?

Recessed, but this is a short run kit as you probably know, so I have my scribers ready....

Next stage is anti icing surfaces. Priming revealed some issues, but all fixed by now.

All completed. Was an issue with masks. Also not quite satisfied with weathering ..

Nice finish, really captures the 'feel' of the plane from typical photos 👍

I have to apologise for my mistake, I used Uschi's thread which was 0.03mm, so not 0.3mm

Thanks ForestFan! Yes, I would recommend this kit for sure, especially if you want to have this particular aircraft in your collection in 1:72 scale as there are no comparable alternatives. As this is a short run kit, so it's quite pricey and would require lots of sanding/filling jobs, but I have to say I really enjoyed building it. Also I think it does replicate the prototype very well with the exceptional level of details which could be available for short-run kit. For comparison I am now building Tu-134 1:72 from the same manufacturer and it goes much harder than Antonov...

Very nice job Igor - it does not just look like a nice model, it really captures the spirit of the pictures of these planes in real life. You really hit the scale impression with the wear and shading, great show 👍
