This is all standard kit .... the fitting is "ok" .... some areas have some problems. Some parts have pins but no holes on the other side .... but all together is ok. And the details are fantastic!

Michael. There are a whole heap of Blackhawk images I posted some time back that may be of help to you. Cheers. Sikorsky "Black Hawk' in close up. | Album by RedRoo

The kit is fantastically detailed and well-designed in terms of its research... but I'm at the stage of joining the two fuselage parts together sandwiching the cabin, and no matter what I do there is a massive gap both on the top and bottom. The fit on the inside is perfect and snug, yet outside a huge gap of at least 2 to 3mm - it makes no sense!
@Michael Franz - did you encounter this issue also?

Yes I had the same issue .... at the lower side or at the top side. I have decided to close the lower side correctly and leave the small gap on top ... pressing it together with some clamps until the glue was dry. The engine cover on top is hiding the gap then 🙂

looking good, and a detailed kit. maybe some issues, but nothing that can't be overcome...

Lots of good stuff for the eye 👍 Following both your Black Hawks, Michael & Stephen, nice accidental (I guess...) group build 🙂

Making more, and better, progress than me! I got a bit frustrated and set it aside to work on something else for a while.
May I ask how you masked up the cabin to spray the exterior?

Many thanks. I have masked the windows with tape and closed all the openings with pieces of sponges 🙂

Really nice!
What do you think about the kit? Any tips regarding the building etc?

Many thanks! The kit is good ... a smaller gap between the two halfes of the fuselage on top behind the cockpit but this gap is hidden under other parts - no problem here. One small mistake in the instructions (it shows the two ammo boxes behind the pilot seats - no space left for the machine gunners then. I did not know that and made it wrong here)
But the kit itself is fantastic!

Hi Michael, I just came across the gallery of your MH-60L model, great work! I have a question because I see that you haven't used two M230 rifles on your model. Do you plan to use them in another set? If not and you still have them, I will gladly buy them from you. These rifles are the F and G frame parts twice F13, F26, F27, F45 and G30. Greetings,
Darek
