Completed at last!
Decided to forgo the included exterior decals. I think the gunmetal gray paint job does just fine on its own!
Please forgive the fitment of the sleeper roof - I intend to leave it detachable when it's displayed.
A trusty Detroit Series 60 for this build... may in fact be 90% of the reason I bought this kit in the first place.
Nearly exhausted my pharmacist's supply of propranolol trying to get these fuel lines in place.
Another round of custom decals for "authentic" Detroit Diesel, DDEC, and filter labels.
Nailed that signature teal color.
Completed rolling chassis
Fifth Wheel, featuring Fifth Wheel Schmoo
Engine well at home, now with charged air pipes, coolant hoses, sensors, and the like.
Ugh.
Interior of the cab complete! I repurposed a few bits from the large dashboard decal inluded in the kit, operating scissors on lenghth scales previously only known to quantum physicists.
Seats so comfy, they almost smell like trucker butt.
Getting closer....

Brandon HThanks Chris, glad you like it! The valve cover is actually already metal plated in this kit, although I've painted the bottom half to better match the real thing; that's just a Testor's silver/chrome that I use a lot of.

Brandon HThanks Nigel! To this day I'm still amazed I was able to pull of the stripes on those seats; or avoid making a mess out of all those switches on the dash (on the second attempt lol)

Exceptional build bro! I got smart with mine, then it bit me on the bum, at the final stages! She's still waiting for my clever fix, to get her over the finish line. However, it's coming up soon 😉
