Hello Michael, it looks as if you need some relaxation 😉 Eduard Bf 109 is almost without effort 🙂

Thanks Slavo and Jens, and yes Jens something simple is what is called for at the moment. The 109 is all glued together and is nearly ready for the paint shop. Should have some pics of her al painted soon.🙂

After giving the 109 a once over for defects and scratches with the air bush, I moved on to putting some life into the prop and spinner.

The propeller blades looks great - did you use chipping fluid or some other technique?

Thank You All for your nice comments, and yes Slavo I used AK's Chipping Fluid. I love the stuff it works great, and that's right Mark another 17, all will have the same detail in the cockpit, as that is all OOB, except for the decal on the end of the cannon, that came from the spares department.😢

Painted the white and yellow, now time to do some chipping on the nose and then I'll mask a white fuselage band and nose.

Hey Folks, all painting is complete, she now has a gloss coat on and tomorrow I will start decaling and weathering. Then I'll start to wrap up this little beauty.🙂

Indeed a beauty, Mike! Will the F4 get the trop filter for the super charger?

Thanks Holly and Nathan, and yes Holly I haven't forgotten the air intake and trop filter, which you get two in resin. The build just got away from me. And Nathan you really must grab this kit 2 models in one boxing with photo-etching, mask sets and the big decal sheet, and lots of spares for the spares box. I paid around $89Au, dead said bargain.👍🙂

Fast progress is not always nice progress, but in this case, it definitely is 🙂 Looking good, being a "nice kit" surely helps, but still... looking really good 👍

Thanks for your encouraging words Slavo, if all goes well she'll be finished by the end of the weekend. Then I have an idea for fixing my missing slat problem on my Aussie Pig so I can get her finished as well.🙂

Hi Mikey, are the decals from the kit? They are looking really cool! Does Eduard provide you with swastikas on the decal sheet?
And will you leave the canopy open?

Thanks Holly, and the answers to your questions YES, YES, YES.😄 The decal sheet is a really good size 2/3rd's the size of an A4 sheet of paper. They come with the swastikas' in the top right hand corner, and for countries that are not allowed them Eduard just simply cuts the corner off. On the sheet Eduard provide the cross and four arms of the swastika so you don't have to find them elsewhere. Yes the canopy will be defiantly in the open position.

Nice & smooth going... looks like this is really a perfect chillout build - all coming together beautifully & you can focus your energy wherever you want, not where the flaws of the kit force you to... will make a great outcome 👍

And so just under 2 weeks and this little gem all but finished herself, if only all my other builds would go so quick.🙂

Very nice finale Michael! The chipping and weathering is well placed and carried out and also the decals settled in beautifully - they really look like a part of the paint job - top! 👍

Hello Michael, a really successful Bf 109 👍 the rolling track but would not survive a chassis of a 109 😄, but a nice scene from the Afrikafront 👍

A really interesting diorama imo, simple yet effective. I would make sure that there were some tracks in the sand. I think it would look even better that way, with some tracks or footprints in the sand.

Tracks in the sand can be a very short-time affair... Another 109 some 50 meters away started it's engine and here we stand... 🙂

Thank You all for your thoughts Guy's, yes Jens smaller rocks would have been ideal, but the 109 is not stuck to the base, she just sits on it for photographic purposes. This will be the base I use for all my desert WWII aircraft photos, down the track I'll make one with grass.🙂
