first of all was to mount the engine block to figure out, what exhaust will be needed.

Album image #2
i found a pair in the partbox and i'm fine with them. i'm not fine with the quality of the kit right now...a lot of sanding.

Album image #3
not 100% the same, but i think it counts the goal. i also think, there are a lot more kinds of exhausts in the aftermarket for the real car.

Album image #4
in the meantime, i cut all parts from the interior out, glued the seats (front/back parts) together ..and like the enginehalfs, the quality is bad.

Album image #5
there is a lot of sanding to do. very nice 🙁

Album image #6
up to the exhaust. first i cutted the mufflers, drilled the pipes out and glued a styrenebolt in. i formed two tubes for the "x-pipe" between exhaust and rear mufflers

Album image #7
to make the "x-ing", i used a file(is it named file)...

Album image #8
...to make them looking one peace and flat.

Album image #9
i shortened the exhausts a littlebit and also drilled them out to glue a bolt in.

Album image #10
till now, i like the result. i cut a part from thr frame for the new tubes.

Album image #11
small step 🙂 . exhaust is done and painted, undercarriage is flat black. i like the result.

Album image #12
seats are filled with putty, sanded and painted with primer.

Album image #13
The car should get a T-Top. So I have to make a mold for it. The first step is to fill the out side of the roof..

Album image #14
Let the silicone get dry and take the inside too.

Album image #15
chassis completed

Album image #16
Album image #17
engine completed and installed

Album image #18
and wheels done.

Album image #19

Album image #20
painted all parts from the interior burgundy and painted the details

Album image #21
details painted on the doorpanels

Album image #22
also the seats ready (missing the safetybelts)

Album image #23
and the interiortube.

Album image #24
So the roof lost a part because of the transformation to a T-roof

Album image #25
After some fitting, gluing, cutting and sanding it looks good. If I were Chevrolet, I'd have formed the front part like they did it on the Camaro. Not straight but curvy like the windshield is. But it's like the original...

Album image #26
...as you can see. On thd model kit I have to check out how it works with the sealings. The roof has it's thickness and I'm not sure whether the T-Tops fitting at the hight when the sealings are on the T-bar.

Album image #27
T-Tops are done. The next step is to take both for a mold.

Album image #28
The first take out of the mold - great 😄

Album image #29
I painted the body black matt for the first step to get more deapth to the black paint . Some sanding will follow.

Album image #30
And I painted the T-Tops for the first time. After they are dry, I'll seal the paint with a layer of clear coat.

Album image #31
Black paint is done.

Yes, my brother made an awesome job on the roof. I like it.

long time after painting i started the completing. Mounted windows, headlights from inside the body.
my horrible part was, to slip in the undercarriage. specially the rear end, not to stretch the body too wide as the glued and painted bumper is cracking. I really had to talk myself into it ... but it doesn't help! must be finished
At the end, it worked out very well. with no damages till yet. hurrah!

I was at my LHS to day (supporting my local economy) and saw this kit on their shelf.

Bill, I like this kit a lot. It goes together very nice!
Some points to take a closer look:
In the manual, the bumpers should be mounted at last, after interior and undercarriage is mounted in. I took another way.
- before painting I mounted front and rear bumper. To fit perfect, I had to sand the edges so that the parts fit neatly.
- on the rear bumper I needed some putty
- the transition from the bumper to the body was not smooth, I had to grind it.
- Before painting I checked the bonnet. She was a little bit wider and deformed.

Of course, as I mounted the bumpers first, to slip in the undercarriage is a little bit tricky on the back. There it is to go first in place, very carefully.

On my body I sanded the engine hood a little narrower to get it fit after the paint is on the body. Without paint there is really little space between the fenders and the hood.
Also I needed putty on the rear bumper to the quarter panels.
