Renault R4 - Memory build - WIP

This days i started with my own memory built.
as Always, i painted couple parts with Basic Colors (primer, black and Brown). Other parts like doors i had to cover up the Windows, because Heller made them completed clear parts.

Also i painted the bodyparts. Thats why the Heller Kit is THE kit for this built. All doors can be glued open - that makes this paintjob very easy.

Small update in this on.
because of standing on a diorama, I mounted the doors. The drivers door is not locked, the passengers doors on the right stay open.

Hi Mike, thats funny. Welcome on board.

Tom, yes he had. His first renault was (because of the rust) like a harlekin. The parts were changed from other cars from the French Army stationed near our hometown. This R4 also was from a French and at that time it was really complicated get it "road legal" - independent of the different colors. They came later.

Laaaast update on the model. Painted Clearparts, mounted them and completed the bodyparts.
I really really enjoyed this build so far. The kit is super. I'm pleased with the result.
Now up to the diorama
