I have never seen this kit. You have made something quite unique out of it. The only suggestion I would have is to find some really skinny front tires to complete the Funny Car vibe. I would be happy to send you a pair if you do not have any in your stash.

Hi Bill. Thanks for the offer. I do have at least one pair of skinnys somewhere but I don't really like the look of them on cars with "regular" bodys, even though I am fully aware of their functional purpose. They look great on top fuel dragsters.
I now try to sell you a story why using the wrong wheels: This is the street set of wheels since the driver is a big poser and likes to drives his 1400hp monster to the drag strip showing off at every traffic light 🙂

Album info

I decided not to use the V12 engine that comes with the kit, since it is just too great detailed and would higher the front of the car above the rear in a way that it looks like a donk car.

More about the V12 in the second albums description.

To me a '69 Thunderbird needed to be part of my collection since it comes with the hidden headlights. Not using the kit engine left alot of free space open to be filled. It try to put a V8 in it but this was just too small 🙂 . Then I found pictures of a twin turbo Viper, with some serious numbers. I tried to replicate this setup with two turbos and an intercooler by ScaleProduction. I think what I produced is technically correct but I am not a car mechanic. Still the interior is not super satisfying to me. If I am in the mood in the future I will replace the ugly distance poles in the front with a proper extension of the kit roll cage.

Since I did not like the kits decals design and quality I decided to print my own. "Snakebite" as a reference to the Viper engine. A very cool gravity generator (cant remember the link) did the design for me. Stripes on the hood are painted. Clear coat keeps getting more yellow'ish over time which is not dramatical for a 60ies car.
