Thanks again for the decals, Gary!
Hard to find any good photos of the cockpit, so took some artistic liberty and added stringers and formers. Going to cut the kit cockpit apart, scratchbuild a new floor with bulkheads and add more detail. Debating about opening up the bomb-bay doors too. Just a couple quick passes with the razor-saw.
The March 2020 issue of Aeroplane Magazine has an 'in-depth' feature on the Vengeance. Included a short piece on the Vengeance in Armee de l'Air service.

Still working on bulkheads for the fuselage. A lot of trial and error dry-fitting. There was very little detail in the cockpit, using some strip styrene and sheet to fit it out.
Took the plunge and cut the bomb-bay doors off. Found some nice detail shots (thanks Gary!) on an Aussie modelling site.

Still need to do the instrument panel and pilot side-panels but happy with the turnout so far.
Going to use ModelMaster Green Zinc Chromate for the cockpit, with an AMMO wash of gray, and try some Prismacolour Sillver Pencil to simulate some wear and tear.

Finished the detail in the cockpit... well almost. Still need some decals for the instrument panel, none included on the Special Hobby sheet

Instrument panel completed. Not that it will be seen under the fairly thick canopy....

A build of a Vultee? Not interested, scroll along. Wait a sec, it might be something nice? Scroll back, check pictures. Seat please!
Very nice work on this basic kit Gordon 👍

Added the wings and horizontal stabilizers. May or may not have been 'flown' while making engine noises....

As a kid I only knew about Stukas and Corsairs and the joy of 'flying' those unusual wing shapes; I can only agree that the Vengeance joins that club for me too 👍

First coat of Humbrol 155 Olive Drab. Say what you may, I actually like the Humbrol Enamels. Most of them anyway...

Because they are nice indeed. 👍
Though they need a lot of time to dry and are not compatible with the lacquer UV-cut varnishes😉

Gordon , I still have a lot of Humbrol enamels , old ones, and I think they are great paints.

Never tried the 'authentic colours', but there is a place in Montreal that has a lot of old stock - must be 40-50 years old and still in original packing sleeves. Tempted to give them a try...

Finished the basic detailing in the bomb-Bay. Happy with the result there. Modified the rear gun so it looks a little less Star Wars-Blaster pew-pew looking...

Thank you, Cuajete and Thomas. I am quite happy with how the paint turned out. Need to 'dull' down the national markings.
