Let's get started. Most of the parts are already in my stash. Werners Wings resin detail set is on its way as well as the ResKit T700 Engine and the LiveResin M134. I am going to build the Super 61 Thunderstruck. I will post lots of references and try to give some advices about the details and scratchbuilds that are necessary to build a backdated MH-60 from the Operation Gothic Serpent.

The highly detailed ResKit T-700 Engine arrived today. Now I got my stuff together to build up my OGS MH-60L from Somalia.

Hey Eric and Daniel, welcome 🙂 This project is by far the biggest I've built so far. It is really hard to find any references of those helos but I have quiet a few. I try to post an update on Saturday / Sunday with some basic information.

Interesting project, the aftermarket looks really detailed - I am curious how it will turn out after painting. Taking a seat.

The bonding jumpers on the tail should make a "U" shape. Otherwise, it looks great. I work on Black Hawks as reference.

So here is the Update. I am pretty much done with the Interior. My referenced helped out a lot. The seats of the pilots looked pretty plain and references showed, that they had some sort of comfy covers. I tried to imitate that and I think it turned out quiet nice. Since this is an OGS Blackhawk from 1993 the Cockpit looked much different from modern Blackhawks. The backhanded Interseat Console was not present at that time. I painted the Cockpit with Tamiya Nato Black and weathered it with oil washes and some pigments for the dust effect. The rear cabin floor is covered with bullet proof plates.I tried to weather these as well and used Mr. Hobby zinc chromate which represents the Aramid shining through. The big survival kits are going to find their places on the backwall of the rear cabin. The roof of the rear cabin used to be covered with some sort of soundproofing material. Tried to represent those with standard masking tape.
All in all I must say that it was quiet a nice built so far with some minor mistake every now and then. Next step is the Fuselage and painting the tail and main rotor.

It certainly looks like you had a lot of fun - a lot of great detail paintwork here. 👍

Update: the Interior for the Rear Cabin is done. The wires for the M134 are prepared as well as the ammo boxes. Two spare ammo boxes are placed between the two crewchief seats.

Yes Daniel, this is pretty much the original interior from an OGS Blackhawk
