Saab 35 Draken, Acro Deltas
An overview of the kit.
This is the version of the Acro Deltas I am going to build.
I started to cover the outboard wings with supermaket acquired aluminum foil.
The plastic injection is awful and very thin.
The canopies does not physically match. I will have to solve this problem.
Dry fit with the outboard wings and the fuselage section.

I had to reprint the decals, as they have just broke when placed in water.. 🙁
This is the round wooden base I made, printed the Swedish roundel in adhesive paper, and placed it on the top of it. Also I have used an inox bicycle spoke to link the base and the plane.
I epoxy glued the threaded end of the spoke to the model rear exhaust, in order to place the spoke afterwards.

Unfortunately the decals I printed became kind of translucent. But as there is no solution, I will leave them this way..
The yellow transparency od the swedish roundel over the silver foil, gave it a golden look. Although not accurate, it made a beautiful effect.
Finished model and base.
