Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat „Battle of the Atlantic U-Boat Hunter“

The second model in my Wildcat trio is the F4F-4 from Tamiya. For extras I used an old resin cockpit from KMC (now available from True Details), resin wheels from Vector and a Vacu canopy from Rob-Taurus. The decals for an F4F-4 Wildcat of Naval Squadron VC-12, based on the USS Core (CVE-13) in 1944, are mainly from Techmod. I used Tamiya paints to paint the Atlantic camouflage scheme in dark seagull grey and white, which is quite attractive in my eyes.
