SAAF Mirage F1CZ

I'm using the Italeri kit which is basically the old ESCI kit but with some nice Cartograf decals (which I won't use). 

The Pavla resin cockpit is nicely detailed. 

Added some instrument details from a spare Buccaneer and Bf-109 decals. 

A few sink marks to fix. 

Test fit the pitot tube. 

Wings, radome and elevators attached 

The only real issue with this kit is the windscreen. It way to flat in the front, just looks wrong. Going to try and see if I can fix it a bit. 

Here goes, always a bit scary when you sand clear parts. 

Looks a bit more like the real thing. 

Got rid of the yellowing on the decals after a few days in the sun. 

Decals need to be toned down, the CZ's had their markings mostly painted over.
