Academy A-10A
Discovered this mess after I removed the masking. I couldn't leave it alone after all the work, so I had to fix it.....
....which meant cutting it off with a razor saw. The whole canopy itself didn't fit well, so I had to use CA and a lot of filler to get it to fit, which meant I couldnt just pop it off. It's likely the CA that caused the fogging. I originally tried drilling a hole in the side of the fuselage so I could thread a fine tip brush through to clean the inside, but the gunk wasn't coming off. This meant more to fix.
Thankfully, it reattached fairly well and didn't take too much effort. Definitely worth the fix.

I don't normally build 1/72 scale and thought this would be a quick, fun project. Nope! It came out okay, but the kit definitely lived up to the little money I spent on it.

Nice build and paint job! 👍 I like the idea for your base very much.

Thanks Marius, Bernd, Guy, Neuling, and Dominik! And thanks to everyone for the likes!
Marius - yeah, it's a large payload. It seems like it might be more than the A-10 can carry, but I couldn't find anything definitive, so I just decided to follow the instructions and attach it all anyway.
Neuling - me too! I have another A-10 in 48 scale I need to build. Looking forward to doing that one in green camo.

That is an excellent A-10, well done and congrats! The detailed ordnance is very impressive. How did you get those perfect yellow circles on the drop bombs?

Thanks, Alberto and Scott!
The yellow rings are nothing more than excrutiating masking and airbrushing. I wish I had a steady hand, but I paint almost everything with an airbrush. The yellow wasn't too hard, but the black tips on the mavericks were a little more tricky. Used a circular PE template held over the tip as a mask - it took a few attempts.
