03 Decals & Wash
Comentarios
Album info
I changed my mind and went for the Polish decal option, since I found the "PL" at the rear reminiscent of car stickers that were necessary before the EU. Quite interesting to see that this was also the case in 1944...
I struggled to blend the decals into the paint job, hopefully this will become more even after the satin clear coat. For the moment, the model is still coated in Tamiya X-22, so everything is very shiny and difficult to photograph.
After decals, the first steps was a streaking with oil colors, followed by a pin wash.
I used oil colors from 502, combined with the odorless thinner from the same manufacturer:
001 Snow White
125 Light Mud
093 Earth
130 Dark Mud
080 Brown Wash
160 Engine Grease (for Pin Wash)
I used darker colors for the lower hull, then gradually mixing more lights from top to bottom.
