McDonnell Douglas FRG2 Phantom Airfix 1/72 WIP
That is a lot of plastic and metal...
Cockpit done. Only a couple of pe pieces have been lost to the carpet monster.
I'm not sure if the model needs it, but I have put the biggest shot I have just in case.
Having a hard time with the air intakes area as usual.
Lots of sanding, some parts are too thick or have seams, some filling, and some re-scribing. Can't wait for the primer to cover all that.
Ready for painting!
My first time priming in black, let's see.
Pre-shading
Underside color
Grey with some blue tones
Using mig putty instead of blue,-tac for the first time... Fingers crossed
Camo done. I'm very happy with it. Mig making putty made it really easy. Ah, I did put together a base. It needs painting, still looks like sandpaper rather than
All glossy and ready for the... over 500 decals!
I had to take a break from the decals... So I painted the base of the model. I really enjoyed but I overdid the washes
Finally, decals on! There is a ridiculous amount of them, but somehow I was carried away and put all of them.
Final assembly almost ready...
Let's call it done
I tried to relate the cracked piece of canopy (in the middle), but it is still noticeable. Don't look at it closely, is rude!
