So I think, that the kit didn't accept the "old" color. This color is the one, for it 😉 You know I like it. I like the vinyl roof everytime, you bring it on. The different colors outside / under the hood / undercarriage is a pretty little detail. The interior is fantastic. Maybe you add another picture of it?

Slick. and in an underappreciated color, as far as I'm concerned. Love it!

Way cool build. My very 1st car was a (faded) gold 68 Malibu with a weak 307 and 4 wheel drum brakes. Only had it for 2 weeks before it got totaled.

While my former Chevelle projekt '68 Chevy Chevelle SS 396 - WIP | Project by Dominik (1:25) made the 4th paintstrip while cracking the clearcoat, i decided to use a new body for the WIP-one. What to do with the (paint)stripped body? i decided to build it "low project - hopp or top - with repainting twice (after the chassis was completed) again, another color from olive to gold and i was lucky. no problems, from start to end then. Attached the vinyl roof, decals and ready to roll out.
The Chevelle came out as wished, has the "old" color underneath and in the enginebay, looks like a repainted, used car.
