KC-97L and F-4C over Sea of Alborán (1:144)

Album info
Hi, these are Whirlibirds' F-4C and Mknicraft's KC-97L.
The Phantom was a short run as expected. Some shape issues in the cockpit zone (canopy and radome suspects, did my best to reshapen them but the result is somewhat odd).
The KC-97 is a really basic kit. The engines are a joke (radials are, podded jets were ok..). Many details missing which I scratched. Decals for the Phantom are from the kit, for the tanker decals were painted (numerals and the faint remains of the former UNITED STATES AIR FORCE logo), roundels sourced from Series Española's sheet of roundels.
The refueling boom was replaced by a new one made from a brass bar which goes through both aircraft, wrapped with milliput as appropriate to shapen it. Lots of milliput inside both aircraft to properly secure the boom and keep the Phantom flying in formation 🙂
Gave it away to a good friend of mine who was a crewmember of this tanker for a short spell long time ago.
Sea of Alborán is part of the Mediterranean, off the coast of Málaga (Andalucía). Over this sea is where the Ejército del Aire usually conducted (and still does) their AAR.
