Mitsubishi T-400
I've been waiting for this aircraft to be made into an injection kit for a long time.
I will finish it faster than anyone else!

Imported from the Netherlands!
Not yet handled by any import agencies in Japan, so I was (probably) the fastest in Japan to get one!

The decals are very clean.
These vertical tail markings are from when the 41st Training Squadron was deployed at Miho Air Base.
It is currently stationed at Hamamatsu Air Base in 2021 and wears yellow and black chequered markings.

The components look good at first glance!
I'm very excited and looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble I'll have when I actually put it together.

The use of etching is limited to the exhaust ports etc.
The antenna and vortex generator are all plastic parts, so cutting and shaping may be a little tricky.
Pre-cut window masking is included as standard, so the characteristic oval windows can be painted over.

If you cut out the 31st Training Squadron decals in the Hasegawa T-4 and put them down, the size looks almost perfect?
As long as you can manage the green line, this would be a valid solution!

The cockpit seating is somewhat precise.
Now, the instructions instruct you to use 7 as a bulkhead part.
However, on the T-400, the instructor's seat is located just behind the cockpit at the first starboard window.
In order to be able to see and instruct the trainees from this position, the bulkheads are of the thin column type.

Therefore, the bulkhead part that should be used is probably 'No.6'?
Moreover, politely, the D sprue has parts that appear to be the instructor's seat (No. 83) and its pedestal (No. 75), and the cockpit floor (No. 4) also has a hoso in the mounting position!
Fill unused windows.
Note that the position of this window differs from the USAF T-1A.

Putty filled windows have been polished!
I am always impressed by the high performance of the decals that come with the simple injection kits made in the Czech Republic and Ukraine.
There are no specific instructions in the manual, but it would certainly be better to put a weight in the nose of the plane.
There are very many gaps in the fuselage, but well, it's the usual Amodel, so I'm not particularly surprised.
Hmmm... it's kind of... vortex generator big, isn't it?
I ended up making the vortex generator myself by cutting out a piece of plastic material.
This way the finish would be sharper.

Assembly complete!
Painting will now commence!

I keep saying I'm not good at painting white, but for some reason the aircraft I build are always white... (and glossy!)
Before gluing the engine pylons, apply the fuselage blue strip decals.
It's super annoying if they're in the wrong order.

Here I realise my mistake!
The T-400 does not have a vertical tail light.

Following of course, as an A-Model fan 👍
Never trust their instructions, it's the topic choice they are the best at 😋

Thank you all for the compliments!
It's a bit much to do, but still a good kit that was easy and cool to finish compared to the old Amodel kits.
I'm looking forward to the derivative kits that will be coming out in the future!
