Started building with my ~8-9 yo daughter in 2000-2001. Left off approx 50% complete. She wanted it shiny, so we used metal foil for the wings, fuselage and tail, but painted the doped control surfaces silver lacquer. Cockpit is complete, with dry brushed details. We used Nestle Crunch bar wrappers for the foil. Mmm, good. We used the foil because the Microscale #48-74 instructions said that the aircraft was overall silver or natural metal with a red cowling and dark green wing & fuselage bands provided as decals. More recently, when searching the web for photos, I can only find an overall gull grey aircraft with a light green wing & fuselage bands. Oh well! Ignorance is bliss. She decided not to paint the wing & fuselage bands. Finally finished!
